Once you make the purchase YOU MUST put the software number you need along with your VIN in the "Note to seller" field during checkout, or message us right after your purchase with this information.
If you do not supply this information the module will be sent as is and your mechanic will need to perform the programming.
With our free VIN programming these ECMs are plug and play. If your truck has the factory Sentry Key (SKIM), see Step 3 under Programming below.

Software numbers are shown at their current revision. Earlier revisions of the same number supersede to the one listed. Early 2003 and late 2003 (2003.5) trucks use different software numbers. If you are unsure which row is yours, check with your mechanic or send us your VIN and we will look it up for you.
Tech Notes
- ECU has been tested with our state of the art vehicle simulator which tests over 25 circuits of the ECU! Some of those are listed below:

- Pins perfect, none are broken or bent

Programming / PATS Security
For Plug and Play you must do the following three steps:
Step 1: Match your part number per above fitment/interchange notes
Step 2: Program ecu to your VIN. We provide free programming for our customers. During checkout you must list your VIN and mileage in the "Notes to Seller" for us to program the ECM. If we do not hear from you through the order notes or a message through eBay we will assume your mechanic is performing the programming (no problem at all) and we will ship the ECM out the next business day as directed by eBay.
Step 3: If your truck has the factory Sentry Key (SKIM), "Cummins ECM Replaced" must be run on a scan tool with your SKIM PIN after the ECM is installed. This loads your security key into the ECM; without it the truck will start and then stall. Trucks without SKIM need nothing further.
Warranty / Optional Core Return
This ECM comes with a 6 month warranty from the date of purchase. Please keep a copy of your purchase record which we will send with your item.
Optional Core Program: You do not need to ship your core back but if you do the $100 shipping will be refunded. We will include a prepaid return label with your order.
